The hull is assembled upside down, allowing the frames, longitudinals, bottom panels, and side panels to be positioned and aligned accurately before the hull is turned over for installation of the floor, center console, seating, and other interior components.

Accurate fitting, tack welding, dimensional checks, and a controlled welding sequence are important to maintain hull geometry and reduce heat distortion during fabrication.

The project is suitable for builders with basic to intermediate aluminum fabrication and welding experience. Previous boat-building experience is helpful but not required for builders who are comfortable cutting, fitting, and welding aluminum plate and structural components.
